The first Persian edition of the book appeared nearly sixty years ago. Since then, it has undergone eight printings in Iran under the supervision of Parvin's brother, the late Abolfath Etessami. This volume for the first time contains a full bibliography of works on and about Parvin. An English translation of selected poems from the book was published earlier by this publisher, entitled a "Nightingale's Lament."
